Our prayer as Urban Angels is that we will become women who, like the woman in Proverbs 31, are both compassionate and resourceful. She (v16) ‘looks over a field and buys it, then with the money she sets aside she plants a garden’,  it goes on to say that (v 20) ‘she’s quick to assist anyone in need and reaches out to the poor’. This woman had resources and a place for them to be invested. As Urban Angels I want us to be women who build lives that have resources so we can be an answer to those that need our help.

We want an army of girls to be using their influence, to spread God’s love and express His kindness in our Urban Angel week October 19 – 25. We want you to go crazy raising some resources for the causes we have highlighted. We have found some areas of incredible need but we know an incredible God who helps those who help others. We have some huge projects that need our help. As individuals we can be overwhelmed by the need but the truth is, together our impact can be so much greater.

Here’s a thought: if 250 Urban Angels run an initiative in their own area and raise £250 each, that’s enough to build two classrooms for the Gulu school – wow! If we raise £500 each then that’s £125 000! Girls, think how many lives could be helped with that – that’s why I love working together – we can do so much more.

So let’s get busy being creative: what can you sell or make, what creative ideas can you run with? Share your ideas, watch the website for people’s blogs and let’s get raising resources and meeting needs.
